Let Your Light Shine: Kingdom Influencers in 2025

At this time of year, many people turn their attention to deeds of kindness, traditions, giving, general thoughts of peace, and what the new year may bring. I want to share a principle about honoring the Kingdom of God, enabling His plan to shine through your life.

As I pondered what to write, a memory of my cousin Veronica, singing to me “This Little Light of Mine” during our Cozy Christmas Girls Getaway, inspired me to write this blog. Also, while visiting our hometown for the holiday, my husband and I saw through a Kingdom lens, how imperative it is for us to always exude godly standards.

As we step into 2025, the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:14-16 NIV ring with renewed urgency:

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

This new year presents a fresh opportunity to radiate God’s light in a world that darkness often overshadows. What does it mean to let your light shine? It’s not about drawing attention to ourselves but rather reflecting the character and love of Jesus in our daily lives.

Here are three ways to be a Kingdom influence in 2025:

1. Walk in Love and Compassion Everyday

The world and our family crave kindness and affection. Simple acts of love—helping a neighbor, being an encourager, or showing patience in challenging moments—can speak volumes about the heart of God. In 2025, commit to being a vessel of God’s love wherever you go. I like how my cousin Vickii, always writes on her daily social media post “Be a blessing to someone today, I know I will”. We all should take this attitude. Imagine how wonderful it would be to live in such conditions!

2. Share the Hope of the Kingdom of God

The light we carry comes from the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ. Whether through words, a smile, other actions, or quiet prayers, look for ways to point others toward the hope you’ve found in Him. Share the gospel. Many are seeking to serve the true Living God. Impart answers to life’s big questions.

3. Stand Firm in Faith

Challenges will come, but shining your light means staying anchored in faith. Let your joy, peace, and trust in God inspire others to seek Him in their own lives. Remember, we win and with God all things are possible!

As we live with purpose and intentionality this year, our light can illuminate the path for others, guiding them toward the beauty of God’s Kingdom. Imagine the impact if every believer embraced this call—our communities, workplaces, families and even the world would reflect His glory.

Let 2025 be the year we boldly step into our identity as Kingdom influencers. May our lives be a testament to God’s love and grace, shining brightly for His glory.

I pray Christ’s love is evident in your heart. Can you believe we are in week 52 and in 48 hours, a new year begins😇😀? I pray you will set goals that stretch your faith and get you out of your place of comfort & familiarity. I pray whatever you have been “ASKING” God, this year you will truly “BELIEVE” with Expectation.🙌

When faith meets expectation we make room for the “ask” in advance. We also allow God to do the work needed in our hearts, minds & souls. God takes delight in giving us the desires He put in our heart🤗 His plans for us are good & He loves to give good gifts to His children😇.

I love you Beloved, by the grace of God we have been in one another’s lives for a while. I am so grateful. I pray 2025 is the year we see God do the impossible🤗. I pray we all let God put us in awe! For without faith it’s impossible to plz God. So let’s move past our troubles & trials, fears & foes. Let’s make no more excuses. (Matt.6:8) 

Take the Step🙏 Trust God 😉Prepare🙌 . We all live by faith in something. Why not live by faith in God? Let 2025 be the year we don’t say “One Day”. Let this be the year Jesus see our Faith and we see His manifestations. But remember if we complain we remain. Trust God in a new way in 2025. He said, Ask, Seek, & Knock. That’s action.
