A Tribute to Our Heavenly Father and All Fathers

Every day that You allow me to wake, I say “Thank You”. You are my Rock, my Provider, my Shield, my Protector, my Friend. You are my Everything.

As we celebrate fathers all across this earth, I am grateful for the men you have chosen to be in my life. Especially my husband. I am in tears as I write this because I remember as a young girl I didn’t understand what it was like to grow up with a father in the home and to know of his love and affection. I wanted to know and experience these attributes. Then You made sure of it and put Derick in my life. Through his love for You, he is able and knows how to love me. He is my rock, my protector, my shield, my provider, my friend, and my lover.

You are an amazing God! You put in man Your very nature. When a man seeks to know You and Your kingdom, he discovers how to be like You.

Father, You are the great I Am. You are Alpha and Omega. You made man in Your likeness and image.

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Happy Father’s Day

As I write this post, I am saddened because, for the most part, mothers are adored, celebrated, loved on, and respected. And like You, fathers are looked at as strong and don’t need as much which leads to, often, not being celebrated.

I pray that every father receives the honor, love, support and encouragement that they need and deserve today and every day. I know that some may be challenging to love and understand but I do know that none of us are perfect and desires love, respect and affection. Let us not forget our heavenly Father and all earthly fathers today. Let’s remember and celebrate them.

May every father desire and fulfill leaving a godly, kingdom legacy for his children and his children’s children.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the Father’s. We salute you.

If you know your father, cherish him and realize that everyone is not afforded the opportunity. Understand that life given by the Father has many challenges and most do not grasp the depths of what men encounter on a daily basis.

Special Thanks

Lord, thank You for Your sacrifice, Your loving kindness, Your tender mercies and Your sweet embrace. I am grateful for the husband You have allowed me to have in the earth. The father of our children. A man, after Your own heart. What I may not have known from my biological father, I received much more in knowing You, my King and my lord.

God, You are loving, faithful, loyal, strong, devoted, respectful, gentle, caring, kind and forgiving. And Your son, my husband, exudes these qualities. Thank You for answering my prayers and providing more than I could ever hope for.
