Life in the Kingdom and the True Gift

During this holiday season what gift are you sharing or giving?

As we gather to meet with family and friends during Christmas, the New Year, and every day in between, let us remember to share the love of Christ.

First, life is all about Him. Second, there would be no life without Him. And thirdly, what is life without the King of kings?

Who Is This King of Glory?

As I think about the power and goodness of God, nothing or anyone can compare to His magnificence! Jesus is not just the reason for the season, He is the King of glory. The Gift of gifts.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
Psalm 24:8-10

The Original Plan.

The Kingdom was, is, and always will be God’s original plan. When mankind relinquished its authority and dominion over the earth to the devil, did God just scrap what He intended? Of course not, He immediately instituted the program of salvation in which Jesus would come to restore His Kingdom, His government. God’s ruling authority on the earth and the return of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 9:6 says

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the GOVERNMENT will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his GOVERNMENT and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne (position of authority) and over his KINGDOM, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.”

The Prophecy.

This prophecy is not about the baby Jesus in a manger or three wise men. It’s not about a day of exchanging gifts or Santa Claus. It’s not about this commercialized day called Christmas.

This prophecy is about the King returning to restore His Kingdom. Bringing back to earth what mankind lost. Restoring the government of God and enabling mankind to once again have dominion over the earth.

God said that His government has no end and it is upheld in justice and righteousness forever. God said that His zeal meaning (His heavenly armies) will make sure that His Kingdom increases forever. Christ is a King, the King of kings.

Religion has taught us that God created us to just live a short time, get saved then die and go to heaven. Religion has led us to believe that God gave up on His original intent. This is completely untrue, the fulfillment of God’s will is the administration of His Kingdom in the earth by His creation, mankind.

Do Not Be Ashamed.

To know Christ is to love Him and share Him with the world, in our speech, conduct, and way of life. As you develop a relationship and fellowship with the Lord, you will want to tell others about Him. Life in the Kingdom brings forth healing, restoration, peace, and obedience to God’s law.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Romans 1:16
