What’s the Big Deal about Journaling? 7 Reasons to Journal!

My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalm 45:1

As I am writing this post, I am reminded of all the journals I have used to write down my thoughts over the years. My earliest memory of my first-time journaling would be when my mom gave me a diary that had a little lock with a key. It was one that I treasured. My oldest brother would always want to get into it. I don’t think he wanted to read it, I believe he was more intrigued by the lock and key element.

Journaling phenomenon

For me, journaling is a life-changing experience. It is like traveling, it gives me an outlet to unwind, escape and record thoughts and memories. Whether it’s pen to paper or typed it is a therapeutic and extraordinary engagement.

I utilize physical journals, and digital notepads to release my thoughts. Seeing ink on paper is my favorite method.

Unquestionably, journaling is more than just keeping records of memories and engaging in self-reflection.
